Misconfigured Active Directory is extremely vulnerable
Active Directory (“AD”) is immensely popular, used by more than 90% of enterprises but the lion’s share are not properly protected; leaving the keys to the digital kingdom within reach of many threats (inside and out)
Behind every breach there is a compromised Active Directory (AD) deployment. AD has become the number ONE target for attackers as it holds keys to the enterprise kingdom which very badly managed, full of flaws and misconfigurations. It’s an alarming thought that enterprises relying solely on native AD tools, literally have no way of monitoring the changes happening on their AD servers in real time
Unfortunately, most organizations struggle with Active Directory security due to misconfigurations piling up as domains increase in complexity, leaving security teams unable to find and fix flaws. The risk this exposes the enterprise to cannot be overstated. Attackers can be sitting in the network for months, steadily progressing down a ransomware kill chain; these enterprises are none the wiser until the – potentially devastating – breach occurs.
